Nominations were called for the inaugural NNSWLHD Allied Health Awards towards the end of 2021. NNSWLHD staff were invited to nominate an Allied Health colleague who had excelled in any of the following 6 categories:
- Allied Health Professional of the Year
- Aboriginal Allied Health Professional of the Year
- Early Career Allied Health Professional of the Year
- Allied Health Assistant/ Technician/ Support Person of the Year
- Allied Health Researcher/ Educator of the Year
- Allied Health Leader of the Year
The awards sought to acknowledge the contribution made by the allied health workforce and highlight NNSWLHD’s commitment, respect and value to the critical contribution that Allied Health Professionals make towards delivering patient-centered care.
Nominations reflected the high esteem that peers and team members held the services provided to patients and other service providers and the ongoing improvement to delivering valued based healthcare.
