Where were you working before being appointed as an eClinician for Integrated Care ?
- Last year NNSWLHD rolled out eRIC (electronic Records Intensive Care). I was the Change Manager for eRIC at Tweed. Prior to that, the last 2 years I have been a Clinical Nurse Educator for ICU/CCU at Tweed and prior to that, ICU clinical nursing at Coffs and Lismore amongst other things.
What aspect of the role are you enjoying most?
- The Shared Care Project is innovative and attempts to solve a gap in in how the LHD, and the Private provider sector, as a healthcare community, share important information to improve outcomes for Chronic and Complex Care patients
- I enjoy the process of using change management and clinical skills in problem solving.
- The opportunity promote change, and work with clinicians on a solution to improve communication and information sharing for complex patients.
What are you keen to work on in the future?
- It would be great to see this become a successful, widely adopted platform. My efforts are focussed on helping that happen right now, but anything that improves the great services we have in the area.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
- I have 3 children under 6…..No spare time, I do know all the wiggles songs, Youtube cat videos and the latest cartoons though.
