Vicki Rose is the NNSWLHD Director for Integrated Care and Allied Health Services.

“As the year wraps up it is time for me and the staff in my directorate to reflect on the year that was. 2021 for al of us was dominated by the ever-evolving COVID19 pandemic. From constant monitoring of updates to the challenges of isolation, redeployment and new working from home practices threw “business as usual” out the window. I am so proud to say that we were able to work better together.

“Some workflows may have changed and progress slowed for some initiatives but the Value Based Health Care (VBHC) ethos under which Integrated Care functions remained steady.”

The vision for VBHC is a sustainable health system that delivers outcomes that matter to patients, is personalised, invests in wellness and is digitally enabled.

  • health outcomes that matter to patients
  • experiences of receiving care
  • experiences of providing care
  • effectiveness and efficiency of care.

“I have been inspired this year by staff ability to be adaptable and innovative whilst continuing to underpin their work with this vision and for supporting each other through 2021. I look forward to 2022 with hope and optimism, knowing that whatever is thrown at us we will strive to work BETTER TOGETHER!”
